Alvin P. Dubey

BEDFORD, MA - Alvin P. Dubey, Sr., age 77, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington following an extended illness. He was the longtime companion of Joan K. Dyer who passed away in 2008.He was born in Westford on November 1, 1938, a son of the late Peter and Christine (Gouolla) Dubey. Alvin resided in Bedford and was formerly of Westford where he was a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Army during the Korean War.Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a crane operator at Fletcher Quarry in Westford for many years. Alvin enjoyed fly fishing, cribbage, playing bingo and attending monthly dances at the Bedford VA.He is survived by his two step-children, Amy Dyer and Michael Dyer, both of Westford; and his two grandchildren, Bailey and Kayla Dyer. He will be missed by his many friends at the Bedford VA.DUBEY - Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD on Sunday, August 28 from 2 until 5pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 N. Main St., Westford.
