WESTFORD- Ann Kendall (Scofield) Bennett, 89, resident of Westford, died January 22, 2022 at Emerson Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Allen Bennett until his passing in 2016.
She was born in Boston, MA on September 21, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Loretta (Morris) and Waldo Scofield.
Ann loved music and discovered her passion for it early on in her youth and went on to study at the New England Conservatory of Music. She founded and directed both the Westford Chorus and the Cameron Music Makers. Ann was a member of both the St. Catherine's and the United Methodist's Church Choirs, as well as the Community Christmas Makers.
Her greatest joy however, was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Ann is survived and will be deeply missed by her son, Alan and his wife, Cynthia of Westford; her daughter, Tina and her husband Mark James of Shirley; her six grandchildren, Jonathan, Timothy, Richard, Kayleigh, Adam and Desiree; her five great-grandchildren, Ayden, Bennett, Timothy, Bradley and Ryan; her three brothers, Eugene Scofield, Bruce Scofield and Dennis Scofield; her two sisters, Kimberly Scofield and Florence Damon; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her son, Christopher Bennett and her sister, Mary Pellerin.
Relatives and friends are invited to Ann's Celebration of Life on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 4 PM until 8 PM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main Street, Westford. Her funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10 AM at Blessed Trinity Parish-St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, Westford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's memory to the Cameron Senior Center, 20 Pleasant Street, Westford, MA 01886.
