Anna W. Vanbever

Anna W. (Smith) Vanbever, of Westford, died June 30, 2011 at Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Vanbever who died in 1984. She was born in Methuen, Ma, April 14, 1916, a daughter of the late Ernest and Alice (Kenney) Smith. Anna moved to the Graniteville section of Westford when she was five years old and attended Westford public schools. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Vanbever worked at the Raytheon Co. in Lowell as an electronic assembler. During retirement Anna enjoyed knitting, traveling, visiting friends, relatives and taking walks in her beloved Graniteville. She is survived by three children; Joan Kelly and her husband Paul of Westford, Thomas Vanbever of Derry, NH, and James Vanbever of Westford. She also leaves two grand children Rachel Kelly of Somerville and Ryan Vanbever of Derry, NH as well as many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her siblings; Louise Healy, Marjorie Connell, Harry and Robert Smith.Friends may call at the Healy Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Service will immediately follow.
