Carol A. Noones

Carol Ann (Lessner) Noones, was born March 19, 1937 in Weehawken, NJ to the late Ferdinand and Oradelle (Beasley) Lessner. She was a lover of prose, and devoted the first half of her adult life to raising her children, teaching English literature to other children, and later working as an editor at Digital Equipment Corp. in Westford. She was a graduate of Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City, and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University.Carol, known to her family as “Oma” since 1979, spent her retirement years immersed in her love of family, opera, and the Boston Red Sox. She could shop 'til she dropped and traveled frequently to show support for her family's endeavors. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.She is survived by her three children Nancy, Jerry and Sharon; her grandchildren Shannon, Ethan, Jessica, Hannah, and Jordie; her great-grandchildren Eleanor, Aurora, Ryker and Escher; and her devoted church family.ARRANGEMENTS - The family will receive friends on Friday, March 3rd from 9:30 AM to 11 AM at the Lowell Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 421 Princeton Blvd, Lowell, MA 01851.
