PEPPERELL - Charles E. Hodge, age 91, passed away on Saturday morning, May 23, 2015 at Apple Valley Center in Ayer after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Jeannine (Roux) Hodge who passed away in July, 2010.
He was born in Lowell on July 28th, 1923, a son of the late William and Christina (Condon) Hodge. Charles attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School Class of 1941. He was a resident of Pepperell for the past twenty years and was formerly a longtime resident of Forge Village for forty three years.
Prior to his retirement in 1986, he was an accounting clerk with Wang Labs for many years. Charles was a life member of the Franco American Club in Westford and a patron of the Pepperell Senior Center. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox and enjoyed music, dancing and puzzle making.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia Foye and her husband Robert of Antioch, TN, Ed Hodge of Seattle, WA, Donna Franzek and her husband Dana of Pepperell and Gary Hodge of Shirley, MA; fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John, Warren and William Hodge, Mary Villineau, Margaret Sullivan and Helen Riley.
HODGE - At his request, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, May 30 at 11 o'clock at St. Catherine Cemetery in Westford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pepperell Senior Center Gift Account, 37 Nashua Rd Pepperell MA 01463. Arrangements are in the care of the J. A.
