Skip was born on October 30,1940 in Gloucester Massachusetts to the late Samuel T. Johnson and Frances M. (Watters) Johnson, and graduated from Gloucester high School in 1958.
Skip was married to the late John J. Walsh, Sr. (predeceased in December 1980).
She worked in the Westford School system for many years, and prior to her retirement was employed at Emerson Hospital as a medical records secretary.
Skip volunteered with her husband for many youth programs, including Westford Youth Soccer and Westford Youth Hockey and figure skating programs, she also volunteered at the Westford Museum. She enjoyed line dancing and cats, as well as following the Westford Academy Soccer Team, and the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots.
She is survived by her sons, John J. Walsh, Jr. and his wife Kathy Walsh of Murrieta, California, and James M. Walsh and his companion Amy McCoy of Tyngsboro and a daughter, Julie Walsh Dyer and her husband Timothy A. Dyer of Westford, as well as 3 grandchildren, Catherine M. (Dyer) Eaton and her husband Timothy, John M. Dyer, and Sydney J. Walsh. She is also survived by a brother, James R. Johnson, of Danvers.
Relatives and friends are invited to Skip’s Memorial Visitation from 9 until 11 AM on Saturday, January 5th at the J.A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main Street, Westford. Funeral Services will be offered at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854 or the Westford Academy Soccer Team, 30 Patten Rd., Westford, MA 01886.
