Christopher Edwin Evans, 47, passed away at his home in Richardson, TX.
Born in Boston on October 10, 1973 to Leo F. Evans and Doreen Evans (Agnew), Chris was raised in Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High in 1991. He attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester before transferring to UMass Amherst in 1994. After college Chris moved to Boston and worked in finance at Brown Brothers Harriman and Wellington Management Company. A conscientious worker, Chris took great pride in his career and was employed at IHS Markit in Texas at the time of his death.
Chris' shy and gentle nature belied his quick wit and intellect. He loved sharing a good joke with his friends and family, was a voracious reader and enjoyed playing golf and loved watching sports, specifically the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Red Sox.
A devoted son and brother, Chris is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Doreen and is survived by his father Leo, now of Kissimmee FL, sisters Jennifer Ryan (Tim) and Allison McCann (Michael) both in Maine, and his former wife Carina Cullivan of Southborough.
Friends and family are welcome to a graveside service on August 19 at 11am at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Lowell, MA with a lunch reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Brien Center in Pittsfield at briencenter.org
