BOND, Daniel L. "Les" Golf Pro Wellesley Country Club 79, of Ayer, passed away Tuesday July 10th at Emerson Hospital in Concord with his loving family by his side. Les was born on January 29, 1939 in Wellesley, Massachusetts a son of the late Daniel Bond and Mary (Leslie) Haskins. Les was a graduate of Framingham High School and attended Babson College. He served his country in the Army. After Les's service in the Army, he became the Assistant Golf Pro at Wellesley Country Club in 1963. In 1967 Les was offered the Head Golf Pro position and his tenure lasted until his retirement in 1999. Les was named NEPGA Golf Professional of the Year in 1985, he received two NEPGA Private Club Merchandiser of the Year Awards, he was NEPGA President 1982-1985 and was inducted into the NEPGA Hall of Fame in 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Judith (Wells) Bond, two sons, Jerry Bond and his wife Stephanie, Christopher Bond; three daughters, Michelle Carlisle and her husband Scott, Kimberly Keeler and her husband Keith, Lisa Lial and her husband Steve; a brother, David Haskins; two sisters, Jane Tomolonius and Valerie Haskins; nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are welcome to join Les's family to celebrate his life. Les' funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20th at Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Rd Framingham, MA at 11:00am. Reception to immediately follow at Wellesley Country Club, 300 Wellesley Ave., Wellesley, MA. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in Les' memory to Dana -Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
