Dorothy Prince Oldfield

Dorothy Prince Oldfield, 98, of Chelmsford, formerly of Westfield, NJ, passed away on January 1, 2012 at her home. Dorothy was born in Lawrenceville, Virginia to the late Hinton Douglas and Leola (Hill) Prince. Dorothy was graduated from the College of William and Mary, where she met her husband, George. After graduation, she taught high school English, before her marriage. After marriage, Dorothy lived in New Jersey and dedicated her life to her family. She was active in her community, and was an avid bridge player and reader. Dorothy moved to Chelmsford in 2010. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her husband, George S. Oldfield. She leaves her two sons, George S. Oldfield and his wife My-Hanh of Williamsburg, VA and Douglas P. Oldfield and his wife Christine of Westford, MA, a daughter, Rebecca Moore of Berkeley, CA, a sister, Leola Carr of Suffolk, VA, 4 grandchildren, Sarah and Alex, of MA and Molly and Julia of CA and 5 great grandchildren.Friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4th at the J.A.
