Eileen Rita Antonelli

Eileen Rita (Finn) Antonelli, age 93, and resident of Westford MA for 67 years, died at Lowell General Hospital on July 19, 2012. She was the widow of Peter Antonelli who died in 2005, to whom she was married for 59 years. Born in Lowell, MA on May 4 1919, she grew up in Lowell, a daughter of the late Michael Finn and the late Anne (McDermott) Finn. Eileen worked as forelady at Synthetic Yarns in Lowell MA and contributed to WWII defense effort. Eileen enjoyed helping others. Her interests also included baking and singing. She was a long time member of St. Catherine's Church in Westford. Mother of Ann Marie Antonelli, the late Peter Antonelli II, John Antonelli and wife Diane, Nancy Goyette and husband Richard, Eileen Antonelli, and Mary Piedra and husband Angel. Grandmother of John Antonelli, CPA Michael Antonelli, Laura Rose Goyette, student at Rivier College, Israel Piedra, recent graduate of Bates College, Jacob Piedra, student at UMass Lowell and great grandmother to six great grandchildren. She leaves many loved nieces and nephews. She had three brothers who pre-deceased her, the late John Finn, Edward Finn, and the late Thomas Finn. Eileen also had four sisters ? the late Helen Primeau, Nora Keohane, Dorothy Driscoll and the late Mary Blanchette.Relatives and Friends will be received at the J A Healy Sons Funeral Home from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 24, 2012. A prayer service will take place in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Catherine's Parish, 107 North Main St., Westford MA 01886, c/o Tom O'Donnell.
