Emily A. Sorrentino

Amalia “Emily” Anna (Limone) Sorrentino of Groton, MA (formerly of Winthrop and Billerica, MA), passed peacefully on May 2, 2018 at the age of 81.

Emily was born on March 8, 1937, to the late Joseph and Susie (Pagliccia) Limone of Winthrop, MA. She would have celebrated 61 years of marriage to Gaetano “Guy” Sorrentino on June 22nd of this year. After moving from Winthrop in 1962, they bought their 1st home in Billerica, MA, and were blessed with 3 sons. In 1972, they bought their second and final home in Groton, MA.

Emily was not only a wonderful stay-at-home mother, she was an avid bird watcher and classic movie buff. She loved to plant and tend to her many beautiful flowers and herbs at home. Emily and her husband Guy, also enjoyed many road trips to their favorite spot at Old Orchard Beach in Maine.

Emily is survived by her beloved husband, Guy Sorrentino, her sons Mark Sorrentino, and his wife Elizabeth (Gagin) of Winthrop, MA, Glenn Sorrentino of Groton, MA, and his fiancee, Christine Berard of Nashua, NH, and Matthew Sorrentino and his wife Kimberly (Gray), of Dracut, MA, her loving grandchildren Anthony, Meghan, Mia, Deven, Courtney, Kayleigh, Ashleigh, Ryan; sister to Joseph Limone and the late Claire Limone of Winthrop, MA, Ralph Limone and the late Vera Limone of Sandown, NH (formerly of Florida), the late Louie and Liz Limone of Boxford, MA and her baby brother Richard Limone and his wife Lucy Limone of Winthrop, MA. Emily is also survived by 6 great grandchildren. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS - Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Emily at the J. A. Healy Sons Funeral Home, 57 North Main Street, Westford, on Sunday, May 6, from 3pm to 6pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon, May 7, at 1PM, at Saint Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main Street, Westford.
