Frances T. Forest

WESTFORD - Frances T. (Milot) Forest, 85, died at her home in Westford on August 27th.Born in Westford, the daughter of Alberic and Annette (Grenier) Milot, Fran attended Westford schools and then worked at Abbot Worsted Company in Forge Village and the Westford Nursing Home on Main Street. A fine fiddle player, Fran founded The Rhythmettes in the 1950s with her sister, Madeline, and the group played at venues in Forge Village, Westford, Groton and Ayer. Fran is survived by her niece Maria (Osorio) Palmeri of Leominster, Friends of Fran, and many cousins in Westford and Trois Riviers, Canada. ARRANGEMENTS -There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Graveside Service on Thursday morning, Sept. 8 at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Cemetery, 20 Pine Ridge Road, Westford.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Cameron Senior Center, PO Box 2223, Westford.
