Franklin J. Prescott

Franklin J. Prescott, 64, a lifelong resident of Westford, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Hansen) Prescott, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

He was born in Lowell on January 9, 1959 and was the son of the late Betteann (Harring) and Franklin Prescott. He was a 1977 Nashoba Valley Technical High School graduate. Following, he was a Call Firefighter for 20 years for the Westford Fire Department, Forge Village, Company 3 and a member of the Franco American Club.

Throughout his life, Franklin was a mechanic and truck driver. He enjoyed surf cast fishing and camping at Salisbury Beach, tending to his vegetable garden and ice fishing at Lake Suncook.

In addition to his wife, Franklin is survived and will be deeply missed by his two children, Katherine Prescott and Andrew Prescott; his brother, Frederick Prescott; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late David Prescott.

Relatives and friends are invited for viewing hours on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 11AM until 12PM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N Main Street, Westford. His funeral service will be celebrated immediately following in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.
