Gary A. Bottom

Gary Bottom, 58, of Westford, MA died Tuesday, January 7, at Massachusetts General Hospital due to pneumonia complicated by his battle with esophageal cancer.

Gary was born in Niagara Falls, NY August 30, 1955 the son of the late Donald Bottom and Frances (Riscile) Bottom, of Niagara Falls, NY. He has resided in Westford with his wife and soulmate, Becky Gibson, since 1989.

Gary's career spanned many disciplines from manufacturing plant manager, truck driver, heavy equipment operator, carpenter, woodworker, and contractor. He was always active and involved in some project of his own or for someone else. Anyone needing help could always count on Gary to lend a hand. He was a talented drummer and was always surrounded by music. Gary kept people on their toes with his sarcastic sense of humor. He always maintained a positive attitudeandwas determined to beat his cancer.

In addition to his wife, Becky and his mother, Frances, Gary is survived by his sister, Christine Dilacqua of Portland, Maine, sister Karen and Jeffrey Lund of Hudson, MA, his brother Doug Bottom and nephew Dylan of Sanford, FL, relatives in Niagara Falls, and many friends in the Westford area.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives & Friends will be received on Sat. Jan. 11 from 10am to 12pm at the JA HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 North Main St. Westford. A prayer service will take place in the Funeral Home at 12 noon. Burial will be private.
