Glenda L. (Wilkins) (Webber) Lewis, 87, of Ayer and previously a long time resident of New Ipswich, NH, Pepperell and Westford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the Apple Valley Center.
Glenda was the daughter of the late Irving and Harriet Wilkins. She was born on October 4, 1935 and affectionately known as the “Farmers Daughter” since she was the only girl with her three brothers Russell, Gary and Larry.
She helped her parents selling fruits and vegetables in the family business, Wilkins Farm Stand on Route 119 in Pepperell, which is still in operation today. This is where Glenda developed her natural gift for instantly making friends by flashing her beautiful smile and welcoming all who came near. Always a ray of sunshine!
Glenda graduated as prom queen from Pepperell High School in 1953 and went on to raise her three boys and one daughter. She was always hard at work. Her many endeavors included; bookkeeping jobs, owning and operating the Westford Flea Market, several furniture and antique stores, investment properties and race horses. She had a love for animals from a young age and kept a small farm most of her life with horses, goats, ducks and bunnies.
Glenda leaves behind her three sons, Gary Webber and his wife Carolyn of Westford, Gene Webber and his wife Jenny of Nashua, NH and Daniel Lewis and his wife Jennifer of Chelmsford; her only daughter and best friend, Robin Therrien and her friend Brad Little of New Ipswich, NH; her ten cherished grandchildren who will miss her deeply, Matt, Joanna, Jessica, Ryan, Sarah, Danny, Betsy, Ronnie, Emily and Kyle; her seventeen great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and her longtime companion Donald Snow.
Relatives and friends are invited to Glenda’s Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 5PM until 7PM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main Street, Westford. Burial will be held privately.
