Gloria J. Scott … Loving mother, grandmother

WESTFORD - Gloria J. (Pynn) Scott, 78, a resident of Westford, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Richard M. Scott.

Born in Lowell, on March 18, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Jennie (Pierce) Pynn.

Gloria was raised in Billerica and was a graduate of Billerica High School.

Prior to her retirement, she worked in the insurance industry for F.M. Global of Waltham, MA.

Gloria’s favorite place to escape was at her summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, NH. There she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

She leaves two children, Sharon S. Murphy and her husband Joseph of Westford and Michael R. Scott and his wife Andrea (Meyer) of Livonia, MI; four grandchildren, Conner and Aidan Murphy and Elizabeth “Ellie” and Caleb Scott; also several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Lester Pynn, Muriel Field and Donald Pynn.  

Relatives and friends are invited to Gloria’s Visitation on Monday, Dec. 11, from 4 until 7 PM at the Westford Healy Funeral Home, 57 North Main Street, Westford. Her Funeral Service will be offered at 10 AM on Tuesday morning at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or at cancer.org
