James Michael "Jim" Ebert

James Michael “Jim” or “Jimmy” Ebert, 38, a Boston resident and former Westford resident and beloved son of Judith L. (Verlin) Ebert of Dorchester and the late David P. Ebert died unexpectedly on Monday, September 19, 2022.

Jim was born in Nashua, NH on February 21, 1984 and was raised in Westford. He attended Westford schools and went on to graduate from UMASS Lowell with a degree in Computer Science. During his days at Westford Academy, Jim played first singles on the tennis team and received many awards and titles in the New England Tennis juniors’ circuit and the Dual County League (including a career high ranking of #4 in the New England 18 and unders.)

Jim was an avid gamer and loved movies and spending time with his friends and family. Jim had a passion for all things food and dogs. He was always his friends’ go to when they needed someone to care for their pets. When Jim was not eating, watching the Food Network for new tips and tricks, or exploring new recipes on Pinterest, he would enjoy the Boston dining scene.

Jim gave of his time and himself generously. He was always the first to help someone in need, whether for math tutoring, a loan or moving assistance. He always put the needs of others before his own.

Jim found peace in nature, both at the Cape Cod shore and Boston’s Emerald Necklace. He would often be found walking the tree-lined streets of Jamaica Plain with his favorite German-Shepard dog, Boris.

In addition to his mother, Judith Jim is survived by and will be deeply missed by his sister, Beth Ebert, and her husband Genna Burakovsky of Sharon and his two nephews, Noah and Levi and his niece Mila.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jim’s Celebration of Life on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 3 PM until 5 PM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N Main Street, Westford. His funeral service will take place immediately following at 5 PM in the funeral home. The burial will be held privately in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.
