Jean A. Kierstead

WESTFORD - Jean A. (Randall) Kierstead, age 86, a long time resident of Westford, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at her home.

She was born in Meredith, NH on May 5, 1931, a daughter of the late John and Eva (Roberts) Randall.

Jean was employed as a graphic artist with Mitre Labs and also with Raytheon in Burlington where she worked from 1978 until her retirement. She received acknowledgement and recognition from President George W. Bush for her participation in the Patriot Missile Defense Program while working at Raytheon.

Jean was very creative and had an artistic flair. She loved animals, especially cats and was an avid bird lover. She was also a talented knitter and enjoyed gardening. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Cynthia Curran of Sleepy Hollow, NY, Sheila Mullen of Exeter, NH, Michael Mullen of Miami, FL, Claudia Lancaster of Junction, TX, Debbie Mitchell of Bristol, NH, Linda Camp of Groton, John Colby of Gilford, NH, Robert Colby of Audubon, NJ, Kathy Goguen of E. Aurora, NY and Marsha Sproul of Jaffrey, NH; two brothers-in-law, Norman Mullen of Woodsville, NH and Solon Colby of Groton; also many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Marion Mullen and Eleanor Colby.

ARRANGEMENTS - At her request,memorial services will be held privately. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell,MA 01854.
