Joan G. Moore

Joan G. (Hawes) Moore, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. For fifty seven years, she was the beloved wife of George A. Moore. Joan was born in Revere, MA on April 25, 1937, the daughter of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Jones) Hawes. She was a Westford resident for the past forty five years. She was a fan of the New England Patriots and enjoyed reading and trips to Foxwoods. Most of all, Joan loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Besides her husband George, she is survived by her three sons, George I. Moore and his wife, Donna of Williamsburg, VA, Stephen E. Moore and his wife Susan of Woburn, and Jeffrey A. Moore and his wife Amelia of Nashua, NH; also her seven grandchildren, Alex, Jennifer, Christina, Meaghan, Melissa, Jake and Kaylee. Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. Healy Sons Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, from 4 until 7pm. Interment will be held privately.
