Josephine M. Connell

WESTFORD - Josephine M. (Lewkowicz) Connell, age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 20, 2015 at her home in Westford . For fifty years, she was the wife of the late Philip R. Connell who passed away in 1996.

She was born in Westford on February 24, 1926, a daughter of the late John and Amelia (Bielawski) Lewkowicz. Josephine was a lifelong resident of Westford, attended Westford schools and graduated from Westford Academy, class of 1943.

She loved to knit, crochet, work on her puzzles, play cards, traveled with family and enjoyed following the Red Sox. Josephine's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Williams and her husband John of Lancaster, CA; her son, P.J. Connell and his wife Katy of Westford; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeff, Jason, Amy, Brittany, Matthew and Zachary; a sister, Helen Connell of Westford.

She was the mother of the late Janice Seel who passed away in 2013 and sister of the late Stella, Al, Jennie, Eleanor and John Jr.

CONNELL - At Josephine's request, funeral services and interment are being held privately at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Westford.
