Marguerite Mary (Callahan) Lynady, 87, of Westford, formerly of South Yarmouth and Tewksbury, passed on peacefully on January 23, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas G. Lynady, and mother of the late Nancy (Lynady) Rudomen. Peg was born in Everett on August 11, 1925, daughter of the late Daniel and Hanna (McSweeney) Callahan. She moved to Tewksbury where she and Tom raised their seven children and were active in the Tewksbury Knights of Columbus. Prior to her retirement, she worked for twenty-five years for Wang Laboratories as manager of inventory control. While on the Cape with her husband, Peg enjoyed the company of extensive family and friends. As a widow, Peg moved to Westford where she embraced being a devoted grandmother, neighbor, and friend to many. She volunteered at and participated in the Chelmsford Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling excursions to Europe, dancing, playing cards and shuffleboard tournaments in her yard. Peg embraced being a life long learner as an avid reader and a frequent participant at Elder Hostel seminars throughout the United States. She is survived by six children, Michael Lynady and wife Jean, Ossining, NY; Mary Morton and husband Douglas, Damariscotta, ME; Thomas Lynady and wife Pamela, Fort Collins, CO; Terese Heslin and husband Frank, Westford; Claire Halen and husband David, Omaha, NE; Christine Lynady and husband Michael Glennon, Weare, NH; son-in-law Bennett Rudomen and wife Sonia, Billerica; fifteen grandchildren, Jennifer Morton, Nashua, NH, Adam Morton, Harvard, F. Daniel Heslin, Lowell, Margaret Williams, Moretown, VT, Thomas Heslin, Medford, MA, Joel Halen, Ft Collins, CO, Elizabeth Halen, Philadelphia, PA, Chelsea Rudomen, Austin,TX, Suzanne Rudomen, Oakland, CA, Evan Rudomen and Julia Rudomen, Billerica, Hana Glennon, Weare, NH, Wendy Glennon, Springfield, VT, Alexis Lynady of Maryland and Zachary Lynady of Ossining, NY; great grandchildren, Grace, Ben, Tess, Kate, Irvin, Jolene and Rose Terese; and beloved friend Bill Coluchi of Chelmsford; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anna Mae Stevens and Eileen Hersey. There will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday morning, Jan. 28 at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main St., Westford.
