Marlene E. Gibbs

WELLESLEY - Marlene E. (Schaier) Gibbs, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Life Care Center of Acton after a lengthy illness. For 60 years, she was the beloved wife of Peter F. Gibbs.She was born in Boston on May 22, 1932, a daughter of the late Herbert and Edna (Hurst) Schaier. Marlene was a longtime resident of Wellesley, Ma since 1968. Marlene enjoyed gardening, walks with her husband and loved nothing more than spending time with her husband and family.Besides her husband, Peter, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Scott Hazelton of Westford; three grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah and James Hazelton all of Westford; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Taylor Thorington of Tampa, FL; a niece and nephew, Laura Bolan of Alabama and John Thorington of Tampa, FL; also several cousins.ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD, on Sunday, July 31, from 2 until 4pm. A Prayer Service will conclude the visitation at 4 o'clock. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Change Unlimited at Ironstone Farm, 450 Lowell St., Andover, MA 01810.
