WESTFORD - Mary E. (Bulger) Hill, age 86, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at theGenesis Westford House after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Hill who passed away in 2002.
She was born in Binghamton, NY on December 8, 1930, a daughter of thelate Simon andMary Elizabeth(Sweeney) Bulger. Mary graduated from St. Patrick High School in Binghamton, NY and worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC.She was a resident of Westford since 1968 and a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish.
Mary volunteered much of her time to the Westford community in many capacities. She was a crossing guard and matron for theWestford Police Department, served on the Recreation Commisions for over seven years, was a volunteerfor theD.A.R.E. Program and was a poll worker during the elections.
She is survived by her five children, Robert Hill and his wife Linda of Tyngsborough, Susan Miller and her husband Wayne of Mechanicsburg, PA, John Hill of Groton, Daniel and Dennis Hill, both of Westford; five grandchildren, Shaun and Scott Miller, Robert, Kimberly and Carrie Hill; two sisters, Rita Coughlin and Connie Legos; also several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late John and Leo Bulger and Margaret Campion.
Arrangements - Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Mary on Thursday, Jan. 5, from3 to 8pm at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 12 Noon at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 N. Main St., Westford. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westford Ambulance Fund, PO Box 197, Westford, MA 01886.
