Paul G. Mulgrew, a Westford resident, formerly of Malden and beloved husband of Eileen R. (Smith) Mulgrew passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, March 19, 2021. He was 74.

Born in Cambridge on April 19, 1946, he was a son of the late George and Mildred (Brennan) Mulgrew. Paul spent his early years in Cambridge and moved with his family to Medford where he lived until he and Eileen were married. They lived in Malden for 50 years, moving to Westford 3 years ago.

Paul and Eileen enjoyed traveling, especially to the Caribbean and Disney World. He also looked forward to playing cards with his friends at the Irish American Club in Malden. Most of all Paul just liked being encompassed by his family. He looked forward to the many pool parties and swimming with his grandchildren.

Surviving Paul besides his wife Eileen, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage are his four children and their spouses, Kathleen and Paul Burns of Westford, Paul and Teal Mulgrew of Boxford, Daniel and Tara Mulgrew of Westford, Kevin and Suzanne Mulgrew of Walpole; 15 grandchildren, Paul Burns and his wife Rachel, Christina Burns and her fiancé Alex Pennachio, Mia Burns, Nicholas Burns, Peter Burns, Porter Mulgrew, West Mulgrew, Maizie Mulgrew, Benjamin Mulgrew, Sophia Mulgrew, Alexandra Mulgrew, William Mulgrew, Emily Mulgrew, T.J. Mulgrew, Patrick Mulgrew; one great grandchild, Ryan Burns; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Frank "Butch" Jewett of Chelmsford, Karen and Edward Heylin, Milly and Dick McCallops all of Falmouth, Elaine Low of Sandwich; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Mary Mulgrew of Sandwich; and several nieces and nephews.
