WESTFORD - Pauline T. (Godfroy) Valcourt, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Lowell General Hospital. For forty nine years, she was the beloved wife of Paul R. Valcourt.
She was born in Lowell on October 13, 1949, the daughter of the late Roger and Theresa (Brule) Godfroy. Pauline was a lifelong resident of Forge Village and a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish.
She was employed as a cook with the Westford school system for twenty nine years. Pauline enjoyed reading, trips to the beach, and crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband Paul, she is survived by her children, Mark Valcourt and his wife Kara and Brenda Girard and her husband Shawn, all of Westford, and Janet Ricard and her husband Shawn of Brookline, NH; four grandchildren, David and Tyler Ricard, Matthew Valcourt and Kyle Girard; two brothers-in-law, Robert Valcourt and his wife Linda of Westford and Ronald Valcourt and his wife Joanne of Lowell; also many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was the sister of the late Normand Godfroy and sister-in-law of the late Kenneth Valcourt.
Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD, on Thursday, March 26, from 4 until 8pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 N. Main St., Westford. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westford Ambulance Fund, PO Box 197, Westford, MA 01886.
