Philip Lord, 89, lifelong resident of the Forge Village section of Westford died September 19, 2011 at Life Care Center of Acton. He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Latham) Lord with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage this past February. Mr. Lord was born and raised in Forge Village, a son of the late Philip D. Lord and the late Mary (Kelly) Lord. He attended Westford schools. In 1942 he joined the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946 after his service to his country. Prior to his retirement Philip was a long time employee of Courier Citizen of Lowell, Ma., and later drove a bus for R.C. Herrmann Bus Company in Westford. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Taylor of Florida; three sons, Philip D. Lord and his wife Nancy of Maryland, Thomas J. Lord and his Fiance Michele Lariviere of New Hampshire, and Michael L. Lord and his wife Valerie of Ohio; six granddaughters and one grandson; one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson. Also by a sister, Mary Cote of Westford, and a brother Bob Lord of North Andover. Also by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the brother of the late David and John Lord, Betty Diamond, and Fran House.Friends may call at the Healy Funeral Home on Friday, September 23 from 4 p.m until 8 p.m. Philip's funeral service and burial will be private.Friends who wish may make memorial contributions in his name to the charity of one's choice.
