R. Ward Healy, 47, of Westford passed away on September 24, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Kimberley A. (Dundas) Healy for twenty six years. He was born in Lowell, January 8, 1964, a son of the late Cecilia A. (Ward) Healy and the late James L. Healy, Sr. He was a graduate of Westford Academy, Class of 1983 and New England Institute of Funeral Services in Boston. He was the Owner and President of J.A. Healy Sons Funeral Home in Westford. Ward was past President and current Vice-President of the Franco American Club in Forge Village, past President of Westford Kiwanis, an auxiliary member of the V.F.W. Mattawanakee Post 6539, a member of the Sons of Legion Post 159. Ward was always active in his Community of Westford and he was the Chairman of the Building Committee of the George P. Rogers Fire Station in Forge Village. He was a sponsor of the annual St. Catherine's golf tournament and a long standing member of Graniteville Pride. Ward enjoyed traveling, especially his many trips to Puerto Rico with his family. He will always be remembered for his kind generosity and his love for his family, but most for his tremendous wit and never-ending sense of humor. Sunday dinners will never be the same without him. Besides his wife, his is survived by his children, Austin James, Sarah Kathleen, and James David all of Westford. His sisters; Nancy Healy of Pepperell, Mary Lane, Kathleen "Toody" Healy and husband Gus Bickford, Joanne Rolens, Geraldine "Dini" Healy-Coffin and her husband Chris, all of Westford, Patricia LeBlanc of Pepperell, a brother Frederick Healy. His father-in-law David and mother-in-law Rita Dundas of Westford; sisters-in-law Nancy Lima and her husband Dennis of Tyngsboro, Susan Welch and her husband Brad of Westford, a brother-in-law Dennis Dundas and his wife Betz, of Tyngsboro. Also by many, many nieces and nephews. He was the son of James L.Healy, Sr. and Cecilia (Ward) Healy and brother of James L. Healy, Jr. all of whom predeceased him.Friends may call at the J.A. Healy Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 28th from 3:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine's of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main Street, Westford.
