Rita Margaret Gagne

Rita Margaret (Thomas) Gagne of Westford, formerly of Somerville passed away on June 7, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Gagne and beloved mother to Robert A. Gagne and wife Kunie Takizawa of Newton, Joel D. Gagne and wife Sarah of Westford and Claudine M. Gagne and husband Nick Sun of Tyngsborough, dear sister to Pauline T. and late husband Robert Fitzgibbon and Carolyn B. Thomas, both of Medford, Catherine A. Fisken and husband Sidney of Nashua, NH, Joseph F. Thomas and wife Susan of Danvers and sister the late Mary E. and husband the late William Buchtmann Esq. of North Easton. Rita is also survived and loved by 6 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews and many friends. Rita graduated as a Registered Nurse from Saint Elizabeth's in 1962 and worked in ORs at Saint Elizabeth in Brighton, several years in San Francisco and at Malden and Emerson Hospital in MA before switching to the Westford Nursing Home to provide elderly care until 1984. Rita also co-owned and operated a popular Lowell, MA restaurant from 1985 until 1998.Visitation at the J.A. Healy Sons Funeral Home on Monday June 11 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catherine of Alexandria Parish 107 North Main Street, Westford on Tuesday June 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
