Robert C. Wacome, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at his home in Westford. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Berner) Wacome with whom he would have celebrated 39 years of marriage in July.
He was born in Lowell on February 23, 1958, a son of William B. Wacome of Dracut and the late Maureen L. (Burke) Champagne. Bob was raised in Dracut, attended local schools and graduated from Dracut High School. He was a resident of Westford for many years and was formerly of Lowell.
He was currently employed with Buckland Security Services in Billerica where he worked for 17 years. Bob had a passion for antique and muscle cars, especially his 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing and canoeing, singing karaoke, and especially enjoyed Sunday picnics at local scenic spots with Barbara. Bob was very lucky with playing the lottery and scratch tickets. He was friendly, outgoing and had a great sense of humor. Bob's greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed getting together for cookouts and cooking on the grill.
Besides his loving wife, Barbara, and his father, William, he is survived by two sisters, Brenda Bow and her husband, Jeff of Loveland, OH, and Linda Whitney of Hudson, NH; his in-laws, Helen Whitley, Brenda and Rick Presley, Diane and Jim Coverdale, Teresa Berner and Bruce Strait and Bob and Melissa Berner, all of Delaware; dear friends, Ron and Yvonne Howe and Bobby Drinkwater; also many nieces, nephews and dear childhood friends from the Dracut area. He was the brother of the late William Wacome and brother-in-law of the late Jeanie Mitchell.
Funeral Services for Bob will be held privately.
