GROTON: Mrs. Rosalie Ann (Chipman) Young, age 75, of Groton, died Friday morning Dec. 20, 2013, in Westford following a long illness. She was the widow of Dwight F. Young who died Jan. 20, 2010.
She was born in Rutland, Vermont on Feb. 20, 1938, daughter of the late Eric Chipman and beloved daughter of Delia (Mussetti) Chipman, of New Boston, NH.
She moved to Cambridge at an early age and attended Cambridge and Latin High Schools. She lived in Westford for several years prior to making her home in Groton for over 50 years.
She was dedicated to raising her family, and loved spending with her grandchildren. She also loved the beach and trips to FoxWoods.
Besides he mother, she is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jaime & Holly Young of Plant City, FL, Randy & Kimberly Young of Pepperell, and Jody Young of Groton; her sister, Deborah Desfosses of New Boston, NH; her only niece, Erica Desfosses of Manchester, NH; a brother-in-law, Leonell Marcoullier of Westford; several cousins including Susan O'Laughlin and Joyce Meany, both of Waltham; seven grandchildren, Katie, Nicholas, Hannah, Noah, Grace, Zachary and Brady; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Angeleigh; also several other relatives and her close friend, Rose Marcoullier of Lowell.
She was also sister-in-law of the late Barbara Marcoullier.
ARRANGEMENTS: At her request, cremation will take place with private interment at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Westford. Arrangements by J.A.
