Rose Marie Farley a resident of West Townsend, formerly of Westford passed away peacefully on Christmas eve. She was born in Tyngsborough, on June 21, 1932. Daughter of the late Elsie Ryan and Chester Allgrove. She attended local school and also Mass College of Art. An accomplished seamstress, artist and baker, Rose Marie shared her many talents with others. She was fondly known in Westford as 'the cake lady'. A wife and mother, she also worked at many jobs over the years, St. Catherines Rectory, Westford nursing home, self-employed cake decorator and part owner in Basket of Memories in W. Townsend. She will be remembered by her children and step children as a wonderful mother. Predeceased by husband Edmond F. Peladeau. She is survived by four daughters, Donna Wright and her husband Paul of Pepperell, Carolyn Johnson and her husband David of Valrico, FL, Gail Smith of Ashby and Richard Smith of Winchendon, Lisa DaSilva of North Brookfield and Cris DaSilva of West Townsend, and son Scott Peladeau and his wife Karen of Pepperell. Predeceased by husband James Farley, survived by stepson Kevin Farley and his wife Marylouise of Dracut, stepdaughter Karen Gilligan and her husband Timothy of Hudson, NH, and stepson Kristopher of Hudson, NH. Grandchildren Clint Wright, Courtney (Wright) DeTore, Ryanne (Roussell) Waters, Chad Smith, Jessica (DaSilva) Garrett, Jeremy DaSilva, Colton Peladeau, Scott Johnson, Eric Johnson, Wendy (Johnson) Knipp. Step grandchildren CJ Farley and Patrick, Liam, Briget and Declan Gilligan. Rose Marie also leaves 6 great grandchildren.brA Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 6th at 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Westford, 10 Church St., Westford.
