Ruth E. McGeeney

CHELMSFORD - Ruth E. (Williams) McGeeney, age 77, was called home by the lord on Wednesday September 30, 2015 at her home in Chelmsford after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Paul McGeeney Sr.

Ruth was born in Manchester, NH on May 9, 1938, a daughter of the late Gaylord and Pearl (Legasse) Williams. Ruth resided in Chelmsford and was formerly a longtime resident of Westford.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a microscopic inspector at Piconics in Tyngsboro for many years. Ruth was a Born Again Christian, she devoted her life to the lord.

She is survived by her three children, Paul McGeeney, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Westford, Susan Postel and her partner Brian Melvin of Pepperell and Michael McGeeney and his wife Deborah of Ashburnham; four grandchildren, Justin and James McGeeney and Madyson and Jared McGeeney; also many dear friends. She was the sister of the late Bette Greene.

At her request, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday morning, October 3, at 11 o'clock at Fairview Cemetery, corner of Main St. and Tadmuck Rd., Westford. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Les Feldick Ministries, 30706 W. Lona Valley Rd., Kinta, OK 74552 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are in the care of the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD.
