Stanley J. Vlasak

Stanley J. Vlasak, 82, resident of Westford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton. He was the beloved husband of the late Susan K. (Scott) Vlasak, until her passing in 2022.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 30, 1941 and was the son of the late Marie (Kupkova) and Stanislav Vlasak. After graduating from Northeastern with his Master’s Degree, Stanley went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years.

He and Susan were long time members of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Westford for many years, where he was also part of the church choir. His love of music began at a young age with piano lessons and eventually lead to playing bass and guitar for his band Recycled Folk for over 40 years.

He had a love for the outdoors and as a boy become an Eagle Scout. Outside you could find him skiing, sailing, wind surfing, fishing and enjoying the family cottage up at the beach. He was a member of an MG car enthusiast group and could be found driving his 1954 MGTF to shows around the area. Later in life, he even ventured into getting a motorcycle, which he enjoyed riding for just a short while.

Stanley is survived and will be deeply missed by his two children, Scott Vlasak of Westford and Sara Rice and her husband Adam of Bolton, MA; his four grandchildren, Casey, Nora, Ben and Julia; his sister, Maria Clarke; as well as many other friends and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Stanley’s Celebration of Life on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N Main Street, Westford. His funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Westford. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church’s hall that all are invited to attend. Burial will take place at 1:30 PM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.
