Stephen R. Bohne, age 36, of Westford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was born in Melrose on October 15, 1975, the beloved son of Richard J. and Pamela J. (Kane) Bohne of Westford. Stephen received his education through Westford schools and graduated from Westford Academy in 1993. He continued his education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he graduated in 1997 with a bachelor of science degree in computer science. Stephen was a software engineer and designer for Amadeus North America for the past two years. Previously, he worked for Sun Microsystems in Burlington. He was a longtime member of Boy Scout Troop 95 in Westford and more recently volunteered with trail cleanup in town. He had a great love of nature and enjoyed walking and hiking in the woods. He also enjoyed computers, music and playing his guitar. Stephen also played tennis and was an avid sports fan of the New England Patriots, New England Revolution and the Boston Bruins. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Carissa M. (Bohne) Dulong and her husband Ronald of Merrimack, NH and his maternal grandmother, Alma Kane of Attleboro; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was the grandson of the late Donald B. Kane of North Attleboro and Joseph E. and Cecilia M. Bohne of Methuen.Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. Healy Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 4 until 8pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main St., Westford. Interment will be private.
