Stephen C. Rice

WESTFORD - Stephen C. Rice, age 54, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He was born in Lowell on September 10, 1963, son of Richard Rice of Westford and the late Barbara (Spinney) MacMillan. Stephen was a lifelong resident of Westford and graduated from Nashoba Valley Technical School in 1982. He was employed for many years with the family owned Rice Asphalt Paving in Westford, a job he enjoyed and loved. He was a member of the Franco American Club in Westford, enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, dirt bike riding, and camping. He also enjoyed boating in his younger years with his family in Gloucester and loved spending time with his family. Besides his father, Richard Rice of Westford, he is survived by his daughter, Leah A. Rice of Fitchburg; his former wife, Dawn M. (Heilner) Rice of Fitchburg; his siblings, Deborah Pickard and her husband Al of Townsend, Sharon Rice and her companion Michael Ayala of Mont Vernon, NH, Pam Butler and her husband Dan of Brookline, NH; his step father, Donald MacMillan of Chelmsford; a step brother, Donald J. MacMillan of Chelmsford; two step sisters, Wendy Tharp and her husband Bob of Missouri and Bethany Kane and her husband Tim of Pepperell; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was the brother of the late Sandra Corr and Richard "Ricky" Rice, step son of the late, Joan Rice and step brother of the late Jeff MacMillan. ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD, on Monday, July 16 from 10AM until 12:45PM.
