Susan E. (Morin) Burgess

In loving memory of my mother, Susan E. (Morin) Burgess, who passed away at age 47, on October 19, 2022. She was the most loving mother to me, Karilyn Burgess. Although preceded in death by her father, Donald Morin, she always had her mother Carole (Blouin) Morin of Groton, MA, who was generous, protective and remained a place of safety for Susan always. Additionally, she was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Nora (Suprenant) and Patrick Blouin. She was the younger sister of Daniel Morin, to whom she always looked up to and loved so much. Her Aunt, Diane (Blouin) Richardson, always remained close and always remained loving, no matter what. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Serena (Stanley) Morin and her loving nephew, Blouin Morin. Her close confidante Kaelyn Goodwin also survives her.

Susan will be deeply, truly missed by all who knew her. My mother was a kind, fierce, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. She was an unbelievably strong woman who faced too many difficult and painful challenges throughout her life with courage, authenticity and dignity. Despite all her obstacles, my mother’s fiery and spicy spirit still warmed and touched the lives of all who knew her. My mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Growing up, Susan was there for me as much as she could be, whether I needed help with homework or just a shoulder to cry on. She was a woman of intense strength and she instilled in me the importance of independence, hard work and sticking up for oneself. My mother was a true, free spirit.

Momma, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so, so incredibly much. Please, Mom. Rest in Peace. You deserve it.

Relatives and friends are invited to Susan’s Celebration of Life on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 4 PM until 7 PM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N Main Street, Westford. Her Graveside Service will be celebrated Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Catherine Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan’s memory to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
