Susan K. (Scott) Vlasak, 74, resident of Westford, passed away on November 29, 2022 at Bridges by EPOCH-Westford surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Stanley J. Vlasak, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.
She was born in Stoneham, MA on March 11, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Charlotte (Taylor) and Daniel Scott.
Susan was a member as well as the secretary for both the church and the preschool for St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Westford for many years.
For over 40 years, she and Stanley spent summers taking their family to their cottage up in Wells, ME, where she always enjoyed her time at the beach. Family was very important to her and she always cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She loved sewing and crocheting baby blankets for expecting mothers. She also was rarely found without a camera in hand and could always be found taking pictures.
In addition to her husband, Stanley, Susan is survived and will be deeply missed by her two children, Scott Vlasak of Westford and Sara Rice and her husband Adam of Bolton, MA; her four grandchildren, Casey, Nora, Ben and Julia; her brother, Daniel Scott and his wife Marie of Wakefield; her sister, Shirley Brake and her husband Michael of Lunenburg and Florida; as well as many other friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Susan’s Celebration of Life on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 4 PM until 7 PM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main Street, Westford. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 1 PM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Westford. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church’s hall that all are invited to attend. Burial will be held privately.
