Virginia L. Surette

Virginia L. "Toby" (Tobin) Surette of Littleton, MA passed away Sunday, Feb 25, 2018. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend.

Toby was born in Lynn, MA on Nov 20, 1921 to Richard and Grace Tobin. She attended St Mary's School in Lynn and after graduation went to work for the Lynn Gas Company.

She married Gilbert Surette, also from Lynn, on October 6, 1957. They moved to VA then FL while raising their two daughters. They eventually returned home to MA.

Toby was a kind, fun-loving and generous woman with a great sense of humor and a feisty spirit. She was very proud of her family, and her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with them. She also enjoyed music, her faith, and special times with friends. Beautiful inside and out, she was deeply loved by her family, friends and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Toby is survived by her daughter, Debbie Ryan and her husband Peter of Westford, MA; her two beloved grandsons, Jack and Kyle Ryan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert, siblings Phyllis and Lester, and her dearly loved daughter Diane.
