Wayne F. Lambert, age 73, a lifelong resident of Westford, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at Lowell General Hospital, after long battle with lung disease. He was the husband of Carol (Lambert) Lambert with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

He was born in Boston on January 2, 1946, a son of the late George and Dorothy (White) Lambert. Wayne served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam war from 1964 to 1967 and was a member of the VFW.

Early in his career, he worked for Norman E. Day Electric, B & M Railroad and retired from IBEW Local 103, Boston, where he worked for many years. Wayne enjoyed taking trips to Pittsburg, NH, fishing and watching Westerns. His greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife Carol, he is survived by his two sons, Wayne A. Lambert and his wife Darlene Lovett, of Tyngsborough and William Lambert and his wife Jamie Unsworth, of Lowell; three grandchildren, Jacob, John and Logan Lambert; two brothers, Donald Lambert and his wife Rose, of Beverly and George "Arthur" Lambert of Westford; a sister, Helen Jane Kirby of Abington; also many nieces and nephews.

At his request, there will be no funeral services and a private burial will take place by the family at a later date.
