WESTFORD - William J. Tuohy, Jr. age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Bonnie I. (Caron) Tuohy with whom he celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on February 17.
William was born in Malden on March 2, 1940, a son of the late William and Mary (O'Brien) Tuohy. William was a longtime resident of Westford and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an administrative assistant at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington for over fifty years. William was a member of the MIT Quarter Century Club and loved animals, especially his cats and birds.
Besides his wife Bonnie, he is survived by two sons, Michael James Tuohy of Ashburnham and Matthew Alan Tuohy of Nashua, NH; also two brothers, Edward and John Tuohy.
